Where Angels Walk

A Screenplay Treatment of an adapted novel.

Author Gene Cartwright has long admired Mr. Sidney Poitier as an actor, and a human being. He is a treasure many young Americans do not know or truly appreciate. Someone needs to do something to change that. SOMEONE IS!

Now, Gene is on a mission: convince Mr. Sidney Poitier, Denzell Washington, Halle Berry, Robert Duval and others who make up his "Dreamcast" to " create" a film based on his coming novel and screenplay, "Where Angels Walk."

Gene invites you to listen to the 5 minute audio excerpt and, if you agree that "Where Angels Walk" would be a great film, then help him use the internet (email, newsgroups, blogs) and personal contacts to convince others. It can be done!

Note: While he has contacted Mr. Martin Baum (agent at Creative Artists - CAA), Mr. Poitier's agent, he is certain that a groundswell of support for the project would be impossible to ignore.
Log Line:

Malcolm James Porter is a shy, retiring, 80 year-old Chicago homeless man, and WWII hero of regal bearing. With his life shattered, following the death of his last and "bestest friend," fellow WWII hero, Henry Chester Morris III, he discovers the power to heal lies in the touch of his weathered hands. In a world hungry for miracles, he becomes a reluctant miracle worker. But who will heal Malcom James Porter?
